Discovering Rosendal.

Sunday I slept in quite late, because I was up so late. I woke up and began eating breakfast, when Inguill and her husband Lars came to the door to ask us if we wanted to go for a walk. Of course I wanted to go out and see everything, so myself, Kaitlin, and Linsdey all got ready quickly and headed out for a nice afternoon stroll with our newest friends.
Traditional rooftops are made of sod. I think this is so cool, and not many houses are like this anymore. This building was a particularly old building with a really old traditional fireplace in the center of the floor. Hopefully we will get to go inside sometime and enjoy it!

We got to visit the stone park. There are amazing rocks that have been split/broken and polished that are displayed for observing. They are all so gorgeous and it was a nice way to learn about history of Rosendal!

Portion of the beautiful timeline in the park.

Rose Quartz. It was amazing.

This rock is just proof that ordinary rocks can be so gorgeous!

It was so nice to be able to get to know some people from here. They are all so friendly and kind and make the transition here a lot easier. The stone park was wonderful and hopefully the roommates and I can have some lunches there when the weather warms up a bit :)
