It is so beautiful out today! This weekend weather was okay, it was very windy! The winds were blowing so strong most of the weekend that the cabin was literally shaking. Kind of scary, but apparently not a big deal according to the people here..Glad that the wind is now calmed down and the sun is shining bright!
This weekend was very relaxing and quiet. Friday night all 5 of us girls hung out and lounged by a fire! It is so nice being able to have one in the cabin, so cozy.

Saturday morning my cooperating 1st grade teacher, Siv took us on a hike up the smallest mountain here. It is about 600 meters high, that's close to 2000 ft! It started off so warm that I was actually getting warm, but as we got up higher it got colder and eventually very windy at the top. It was beautiful though! I totally underestimated hiking and how difficult it is. I felt so accomplished though when we finally made it to the top! The hike down was actually a lot harder. There was lots of snow and ice, but we eventually made it down okay. It took us near 4 hours to get all the way up and down the mountain, it was quite a workout!

After our hike we all went over to Siv's house where she made us some food. She made some pancake type things (called lepa?) they are thicker and better than American pancakes. It was served with some raspberry and strawberry jam and sour cream, they were delicious. She also had fruit and ice cream. Everything tasted wonderful and it was so nice to be able to spend time outside of school with people from here.
Sunday morning we went to church at Kvinnherad Church here in Rosendal. This is the oldest church built in 1255 and it used to be Catholic but is now Protestant. It was beautiful inside and out! Although I couldn't understand anything that was happening, it was nice to be able to experience the service. Stein told us all about the history and facts after the service was over.

Our supervisors are arriving tonight to come observe us this week so that will be quite exciting. We only have 1 more week until Maggie, Katlin, Gabby, and I depart for our London/Dublin spring break trip! So exciting!
